One of our strengths is the diversity of design experiences in our leaders. By sharing the lessons learnt and the science behind these experiences, we hope to improve outcomes for future projects.

Sustainability Fundamentals
Sustainability Fundamentals’ is a one hour presentation that explores the relationship between the Property Council of Australia’s Quality Matrix, NABERS, Green Star and WELL to give a high level overview of how the development market in Australia perceives the use of these to attract clients and sales.  Specifically targeted at Architects, this talk will provide a comprehensive run down of each scheme and what designers should be aware of when aiming to meet client expectations in the delivery of buildings conforming to these standards.

Rating Tools:  what are they?  why they are important?  Includes an overview of the PCA Quality Matrix, Green Star, WELL & NABERS
 
How to create a Decision Making Toolkit around what elements to include for your project
Speaker Details:
 
Jay Dee Dearness is a WELL Accredited Professional and Designer with 18 years’ experience in the design and construction industry spanning architecture, interiors, landscape design and public art.  She is a WELL AP, WELL Faculty and WELL Community concept advisor.
 
As a Sustainability Leader at SEED, Jay Dee is committed to improving human health and wellness within the built environment using her professional training and expertise in community engagement through standards such as WELL, Green Star, the Living Building Challenge and the principles of Biophilia.  It is this experience, along with her background in community engagement through the arts that uniquely equips her to handle the varied challenges that arise during the accreditation process for both WELL V1 and V2.
